Spanish Vehicle Registration Service

Car Reg Costa Blanca was established in 2002, to service the marketplace of the increasing number of foreign cars driving on the Spanish roads, (sometimes illegally). Since that time we have expanded and learnt the business to include re-registration of foreign cars, motorcycles, caravans, mobile homes, European and non European vehicles as far a field as Japan, Saudi Arabia and America.

We are also able to carry out drivers license applications, change of documentation for second hand cars, change of details in trafico and any other processes involving vehicles and the Spanish system which can be somewhat complicated.

With effect from 1st January 2008 the import duty is now called CO2 emissions tax and the tax to be paid is now based on the co2 emissions of individual vehicles.

With effect from 1st January 2008 the tax office states that an exemption certificate can be obtained for any emission tax if the vehicle is registered to Spanish registration within 60-days of the owner signing the padron. You must be the owner of the vehicle written on the registration document for a period of 6-months prior to importation.

Our Spanish Vehicle Registration process includes the entire process from start to finish. Lights supplied and fitted if needed. Tyres sourced if required. Process of import usually carried out in one morning. Full assistance given at the ITV station with engineer and then ITV. All paperwork processed personally and no third party is used at any time to handle legal papers. I have a direct link with the Spanish tax office for working and paying the import duty if applicable.

Spanish registration takes approx 4 days and then the fitting of the plates is also included. Advice and insurance quotations can be obtained to make sure that the car is fully legal once the Spanish registration is issued by the traffic office. We currently cover the areas of Alicante south and North, Murcia, Cartagena and very soon we will be expanding our service to Almeria and Valencia.
